people interacting or managing sea turtles, eggs, or remainings of sea turtles
are under special permit given to ATMAR by Puerto Rico DNRA and US Fish
and Wildlife Service.

This video presents an interview to Luis Crespo about the work of
ATMAR, local volunteers, our educational center, summer internship
etc. Is good summary of what we do in ATMAR. Recorded in August
2016.
Video presenting a rapid response to a call to help a leatherback nesting
at daylight. The turtle had a fishing hook under left shoulder. People
who live in front of the beach helped to grab the turtle so the hook could
be removed. Recorded in summer 2014.
Part of a documentary filmed in 2012 by students of the University
of Puerto Rico. The documentary won 1st prize in an environmental
video contest in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It presents part of our work
with leatherbacks sea turtles.
A leatherback got desoriented and entered to the river when trying to find
it way back to the sea. Turtle got stuck in the river vegetation and it was
necessary to use a little boat to release her and find the way to the sea.
